Your original words are kept exactly as written. You decide what else happens.
Draft for review — to be finalized, with a contact address for removal requests, before real submissions open.
What we collect
Your testimony and any images, audio or video you attach. Only if you choose: age range, gender, countries, first language, academic stage, field, and how you use and feel about AI. No name or institution is required. HARF is for people aged 18 and over.
Publication
Nothing is published automatically. With your permission, an editor may publish a short anonymized excerpt with only a broad category such as “Student”. Your other answers are never published.
Contact details
Collected only if you ask to be contacted. Stored in a separate table, visible only to editors, never published.
Your participant code
Links your future contributions without identifying you. We store only a one-way fingerprint (SHA-256), so we can't recover it.
Storage & protection
Amazon Web Services, United States (Ohio): text in a database, attachments in private file storage. Encrypted in transit and at rest. Only signed-in editors can see private records or files.
Retention & removal
Kept for the life of the archive unless you ask us to remove it. Removal deletes the text and attachments; backups clear after 35 days.
Your three choices
Consent version 2026-10-28.v2, recorded with every contribution.
1. ResearchRequired
I am 18 or older, and I agree that HARF may store my contribution and analyze it for the research purposes described in the privacy notice. This is required to submit.
2. PublicationOptional
HARF may publish an anonymized excerpt of my contribution in the Living Archive after editorial review. Nothing is published automatically.
3. Follow-upOptional
HARF may contact me about a future interview or follow-up. My contact details are stored separately from my testimony and never published.
The structured survey is hosted by Tally and covered by its own notice.
